Description
For sale is a vintage, Jingdezhen, Blue & White, Chinese, 12-Oval Platter with Rice Grain Eyes and 5-Claw Dragon design. This vintage serving platter is made of white, Chinese porcelain. This platter is notable because it was made with tiny openings in the shape of a grain of rice; the overglaze fills the holes and creates luminescent eyes decorating the rim of the porcelain plate. The center of the plate is decorated with a Chinese, 5-claw dragon. The plate is stamped: MADE IN CHINA on the back of the platter. It measures approximately 12 long by 8.75 wide. The plate is in good, vintage condition with minor blemishes, shown in photos.
