Antique Point de Rose, Unused, Extremely Fine Linen, Miraculous Jabot Collar

An extremely beautiful, absolutely unused antique Belgian Point de Rose jabot/collar.
This decorative collar, a jabot, is intricately woven with the finest linen threads.
A small blue linen cloth is included to serve as a background for framing.

This piece remains in its original, unused, and unwashed state, possessing a captivating khaki ecru with subtle natural pale green undertones,
an elegant antique ivory tone.
Its color and texture, preserved across time and space to reach the present day,
showcases delicate and exquisite craftsmanship.
It exudes a profound presence that strongly draws the viewer in,
transporting them to a bygone era.

Purchased from a French owner, this is a 19th-century Brussels
Point de Gaze Rose.

Four roses, known as Point de Rose, bloom on extremely fine hand-knitted tulle/mesh
of Point de Gaze (gauze).

One rose is a plump French rose, with petals expressed in a rare,
two-layered, three-dimensional arrangement.
The outline is firmly and tightly embroidered,
with exquisite needlework on the stamens and pistils ✵

The entire circumference is adorned with scallops and leaves.
Intricate thread flowers are nestled within medallions resembling cross-sections of fruit.
Tiny dot circles resembling water droplets.
The variations in tightness and looseness of the petals and leaves are endearing.

It has a firm, supple, and smooth,
superb texture.

A magnificent piece that retains its original color and texture,
destined to be passed down through generations.

It is extremely rare for such a piece to survive to the present day in perfect,

Fine-mesh tulle was hand-knitted and then adorned with elaborate techniques and small motifs embroidered on top.
The immense labor and time required, its rarity comparable to or exceeding that of jewels,
made Point de Rose a coveted and admired item.
