A handmade cross, napkin, or handkerchief in antique burgundy/bordeaux/cranberry, adorned with charming appliqué and beautiful lace featuring a water bird motif.
The embroidery of ducks floating on the water, appliquéd with ivory cotton fabric, is striking.
The tulle/mesh lace features ducks, birds resembling swans, and water plants/leaves floating on the water, surrounded by flowers, creating a lyrical and elegant piece.
It appears to be handmade Alençon lace or Valenciennes lace. The small picot edging is delicate and lovely.
The corners are gathered with a gorgeous ruffled edging. The ivory color is slightly deep, evoking an antique feel, and pairs beautifully with bordeaux.
