The faceted base, often referred to as the 'Gibraltar' style, provides a better grip and adds structural strength to the glass. These tumblers were produced by various manufacturers, including Libbey and Crisa, using tempered glass to resist thermal shock. Mocha and amber tones became particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s as part of the era's preference for earthy color palettes. These glasses were often sold in sets and are now primarily sought after by collectors looking to complete existing sets. Their timeless, utilitarian design ensures they remain functional pieces of vintage kitchenware.
