Art Deco Porcelain Japanese Salt and Pepper Shakers
Elite Lusterware
Vintage Japanese salt and pepper shakers feature a hand-painted Art Deco floral motif with crackle-glazed peach bodies and iridescent blue bases. Made in Japan, typically dating from the 1920s to 1940s. Hexagonal or chess-piece silhouette with metallic silver-toned metal caps. Hand-painted orange and yellow floral decals accented with raised enamel dots and bold geometric panels. The last photo shows a very common occurrence, called crazing, on vintage Japanese lusterware (such as Noritake or similar Art Deco era imports) from the 1920s to 1940s. It does not affect the value. Very good to excellent condition. Approximately 6.25” tall
