Akebono-nuri Lacquerware Hand Warmer Brazier Pair, Diameter 27cm, Height 26cm, with Original Box, Ash & Inner Tray Included

A pair (set of 2) of hand-warming hibachi with a lacquer finish in Akebono-nuri (dawn lacquer).

The hibachi features an elegant finish where the wood grain shows through the subdued reddish-brown lacquer, making it a perfect fit not only for Japanese-style rooms but also for traditional Japanese or modern Japanese interiors.

This item is a small size, measuring 27cm in diameter and 26cm in height, and is classified as a hand-warming hibachi designed to warm your hands rather than an entire room.

It is a stylish piece that can be used practically or as an interior decoration.

The sides are decorated with a multi-faceted carving called mentori (chamfering), which enhances the beauty of the lacquer through light reflection, indicating a very labor-intensive craftsmanship.

The interior includes a metal otoshi (inner container), allowing for authentic use with ash and charcoal. This also serves to protect the outer lacquerware from heat.

It comes complete with its original wooden box (kyobako), inner containers, and hibachi ash, so it is ready for immediate use upon arrival.

[Condition]
The condition is good.
There is a slight crack on the upper part of one hibachi, but it does not affect its use.
Please refer to photo 18.
Other than that, there are minor scuffs due to age, but no significant damage, and the overall condition is good.
Please check the photos carefully for details.
