Tea Ceremony Utensils, Kaiseki Dining Utensils, Sukiya-style Architecture, Japanese-style Homes, Tea Rooms, Antique Implements, Old Houses, Ro-dan (Sunken Hearth), Tea Room Equipment

This hibachi brazier is made from solid wood, carved directly from a tree stump. It features butterfly joinery in seven places and inlay work in two places, indicating a remarkably high-quality construction (Photos ③-⑩). Given its material texture and the way the color has developed, I believe this is a collector's item rarely seen.

[Condition]
Due to the nature of the material, there are many cracks, but they are stabilized with joinery. There are some scratches and dirt, but I believe those who appreciate an antique feel will be pleased.

The copper plate has scratches and dirt, but it is thick and appears to be in relatively good condition (Photos ⑫-⑮).

Please consider purchasing with an understanding that this is a very old, used item and an item that utilizes the characteristics of natural materials.
