Vintage Antique Hand Quilted Irish Chain Quilt Pink Blue 80x72 Cottage

A beautiful vintage hand-pieced and hand-quilted Double Irish Chain quilt with wonderful timeworn character. The classic pattern features pink printed cotton and varying shades of blue against a white cotton ground. The differences in the blue tones—from deeper indigo/denim to softer blue-gray—give the quilt a beautifully collected look and may reflect different fabrics and natural aging over time. Extensive hand quilting throughout adds beautiful texture and showcases the craftsmanship of this special piece. The reverse is white cotton. This is a well-loved older textile with authentic age-related wear, including fabric loss and thinning along portions of the blue border with batting visible in places, as well as wear around the edges. Please see photos closely for condition. A truly charming old quilt with beautiful color variation, handwork, and character that would make a wonderful addition to a vintage textile collection.
