Vintage Kantha Quilt Hot Pink Gold Reversible Indian Hand Stitched Throw

vintage Indian Kantha quilt in a striking jewel-toned palette. This one has a particularly beautiful, collected look with deep fuchsia/hot pink, antique gold, burnt orange, soft aqua and muted lavender-gray textiles.  The dominant side is a dramatic rich pink with faded floral and paisley-like motifs, accented by multiple bands of ornate gold-toned sari borders. Small contrasting green patches add even more handmade character.  Flip it over for an entirely different look—layers of burnt orange, burgundy, muted lavender and pale turquoise, again incorporating decorative sari-style borders.  The entire textile is covered in closely spaced hand-worked Kantha running stitches, creating wonderful texture and movement.
