Rare, with box. Chinese traditional craft, ox horn carving, brush holder, shrimp, hand-carved ornament, interior decor.

This item was received about 30 years ago from the parents of an international student by a family member.
This is a delicate carved work of traditional Chinese craftsmanship, made from natural ox horn.
In the center is a large brush holder (pen stand), with dynamic shrimp clinging to it, expressed through hand-carving.
Shrimp are also a symbol of longevity and are cherished as auspicious items.
This is a beautiful piece that showcases the exquisite gradation and transparency of the shrimp, unique to natural materials.

[Condition]
• It was displayed on a sideboard for a long time after being taken out of its box. The dedicated decorative box has been found and will be included. When placed in the box, some of the whiskers may bend slightly.
• The long antennae of the shrimp are intact (except for one), and the overall condition is very clean.
The one missing antenna and the affected area are shown in images 16 and 17. Please attach it yourself with super glue or similar adhesive.
• As it is a natural material, please understand that there may be original patterns, minor scuffs, and signs of aging.

Box: Approx. 13 x 15 cm
Box height: Approx. 8.5 cm

(Deterioration due to age)

How about using it as an interior decoration for your study, a practical pen stand, or as part of your collection of Asian antiques?

It will be carefully packed to prevent breakage and shipped via Mercari delivery.
However, as this is amateur packaging,
If you are someone who might complain about bent or broken whiskers, dirt, a dirty box, etc., it frightens me, so please refrain from purchasing.
