Nozawa Folk Art Sleeping Cow No. 1 Tori Folk Art
59.40 $
Description
This is the rare Torimingei Nemubeko, size 1.
I am selling it to organize my collection.
It was opened once for photography, but until then, it was stored at home in its bubble wrap packaging.
The following is a reference from the homepage:
Nemubeko
A beko that gently sways its head as if dozing off. It retains the patterns and colors of the Akabeko made by Nozawa Mingei. This is a Torimingei original Nemubeko with only the eyes made sleepy. While the eyes, which determine the expression of the Akabeko, are usually stamped to ensure uniformity, the sleepy eyes of the Nemubeko are all hand-painted by a limited number of artisans. This is a product that embodies Torimingei's concept of trimming folk crafts.
