This is a Nambu iron kettle from Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. This iron kettle is designed with the image of natural scenery and is compatible with IH cooktops (200V) and tabletop IH cooktops (100V). Its sharp shape is inspired by the clouds that drift across the eastern sky at dawn. Iron kettles create a gentle and mellow hot water that maximizes the original flavor of tea leaves. Condition of the item
Used for 1 year after purchase.
For initial seasoning, it was aged multiple times with Contrex, a very hard water, to create a mineral film before use. This was effective, and a white film has successfully formed inside. Even those new to iron kettles can use it immediately.
Please understand that some rust spots may appear inside, as this is a characteristic of iron kettles. It is possible to remove rust by scrubbing, but this will require re-seasoning from the beginning. If you are concerned about this, please refrain from purchasing.
After use, it was dried by dry-heating for about 30 seconds.
