Antique Edwardian 1910s 1920s Crochet Adult Boudoir Cap | Silk Ribbon & Rosettes

Beautiful, authentic piece of early 20th-century textile history. This adult-sized antique boudoir cap (also known as a bed bonnet or nightcap) dates to the late Edwardian into the early 1920s flapper era. Given its rich, dark coloration, it may have originally been intended as part of a formal Victorian/Edwardian mourning ensemble.  Handmade original piece made from lace in a brown color. The cap features intricate crochet detailing with silk ribbon and rosettes, reflecting the Flapper style of the 1920s era.  Cap is completely hand-crocheted from structural, mid-weight thread featuring openwork medallions and a beautiful scalloped edge trim. It is heavily adorned with its original wide silk taffeta ribbon, woven seamlessly through the frame and tied into large, prominent statement bows.  Exceptional find for antique clothing collectors, historical re-enactors, study collections, or Edwardian/1920s enthusiast displays!  Width: Approx. 11 / Height/Depth: Approx. 9 / Fits an average adult head size comfortably.  Crochet Body: Excellent antique structural condition.
