Bill Wise Signed Cobalt Blue & Textured Gold Frit Glass Squat Vase

Dark Blue with textured gold frit applied to surface (looks much lighter with white background) This is a beautiful piece of contemporary American studio art glass hand-blown by artist Bill Wise at his Expressions Studio in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. This piece dates from the early 2000s and showcases Wise’s signature mastery of rich color and organic texture. The cobalt blue swirled piece (hard to see the blue swirl pattern in photos) features a dramatic squat, bulbous cabinet-form profile with a small mouth opening. Unlike common encased gold pieces, this rare variant features heavily textured, genuine gold metallic frit applied directly to the exterior surface of the glass, creating a shimmering, tactile band that catches the light beautifully (Looks like a galaxy in the sky). Condition: Good vintage condition - No chips, cracks, or repairs. The upper body and gold frit application are intact. Does have body scratches. The base exhibits shelf-wear scratches on the polished bottom pontil from decades of display, which is typical for authentic studio glass of this age. Was able to get a couple body and base scratches to show up on the last two photos. Measures approximately 4.75” x 7”. Thanks for looking, have a blessed day!
