Handturned Spalted Aspen Wood Bud Vase with Glass Insert, 6" Wood Turned Vessel

The vase is approximately 6 tall, turned from spalted aspen wood (marked ASPEN on the underside). It is fitted with a removable glass tube/test-tube insert in the neck, so it can safely hold water and fresh-cut flowers without damaging the wood The natural live-edge bark inclusion adds an organic texture and one-of-a-kind character. It has a trumpet-style rim and gently curved silhouette There appears to be an artist signature near/under the top of the glass tube, it is difficult to fully make out, so maker is unknown at this time. As with all live-edge / spalted wood pieces, there is a small natural separation/crack near the shoulder consistent with the wood's character, typical of this style of turned wood and adds to its rustic, organic charm rather than being a structural flaw.
