Vintage John Richey Original Miniature Oilfield Pump Jack Painting Texas Art

Original signed miniature painting by Texas artist John Richey, featuring a classic oilfield pump jack against a warm Western landscape. Richey was a Lubbock/West Texas artist known for miniature paintings of regional subjects, including landscapes and windmills. This piece features a quintessential West Texas subject—a pump jack rendered in black and red against a golden, earthy landscape. The artwork appears hand-painted rather than a print. Close examination shows textured paper/support, irregular hand-applied pigment, natural variations along painted edges and individual brush/line work without an apparent commercial halftone dot pattern. The work is signed “John Richey” at the lower left. • Visible artwork: 4.25” × 4.5” • Exterior: 10.25” W × 10.5” H • Frame width: approx. 3” • Hanging wire attached Vintage pre-owned condition. Presented under glass in a substantial vintage distressed wood frame with gold, silver, brown and red tones. Frame is distressed/aged detailing and wear consistent with its rustic appearance & age. Please review all photographs carefully, including close-up images of the artwork, signature, frame and reverse. A distinctive piece for collectors of Texas art, Western art, oil and gas memorabilia, petroleum history, oilfield décor, pump jack art, ranch décor, & Americana.
