Beautiful mixed-era “marriage” brooch featuring an antique Victorian-style gold-tone frame paired with a later Limoges-style floral porcelain centerpiece. The glossy oval plaque features a romantic hand-painted-style bouquet with a pink rose, blue and purple flowers, and green foliage. The ornate frame features open wirework and bead accents with beautiful age-related patina. The reverse has an open C-clasp, tube-style hinge, and long pin stem, characteristic of early antique brooch construction. Size: Approx. 2.4” x 2” Good vintage/antique condition with expected age-related wear and patina. Porcelain presents beautifully. There is minor residue on the backside of the brooch.
