1930s Czech Glass Enamel Brass Sash Belt Buckle Art Deco Floral Green Antique

Private suite at the Plaza. Somebody sees this on the sash and assumes it came out of an estate nobody was supposed to know was being liquidated.  Nobody checks.  Exceptional 1930s Czech two-piece sash belt buckle combining ornate stamped brass-tone metalwork, hand-painted enamel floral accents and large molded green glass cabochons.  Each circular half is constructed around a deep emerald-green oval glass centerpiece. The surrounding metalwork is densely layered with raised leaves, flowers, beadwork and scrolling botanical detail rather than being formed as a simple flat casting.  Tiny blue and yellow enamel flowers interrupt the aged brass-tone surface, while smaller warm-toned accents add additional depth around the perimeter.  The two halves interlock mechanically to create a functional buckle while preserving the near-symmetrical floral composition when joined.  Total weight: approx. 16g.  Circa 1930s.  Czech glass / enamel style construction.   Excellent condition with age-appropriate patina and surface character as photographed.  Comes from a smoke-free lair.
