Vintage Master Maid Cast Aluminum Oval Dutch Oven Roaster w/Lid Made In USA

The Brand: Master Maid was a prominent brand of heavy-duty cast aluminum cookware during the mid-20th century, highly popular alongside competing lines like Guardian Service, Super Maid, and Club Aluminum.Market Era: This piece likely dates from the late 1930s to the 1950s. The distinct Art Deco styling of the horizontal wing lines on either side of the oval logo is highly characteristic of design trends from that era.Design Purpose: The CAST and ALUMINUM indicators highlight its thick, molded construction. This thickness allows the roaster to mimic the slow, uniform heat retention of cast iron while offering the fast thermal conductivity and lighter weight of aluminum. If you plan to use it for cooking today, a thorough scrub with steel wool and a light coat of cooking oil will clean up the surface beautifully!
