LUNA No.12 Soprano Ukulele Pineapple Vintage
This is a very rare pineapple model ukulele, No. 12, by LUNA.
Unlike current LUNA ukuleles, this one was manufactured during the period when Kamano Gakki was producing them, likely between 1953 and 1968.
While the standard soprano model No. 12 is occasionally seen with limited information or listings, this particular pineapple model No. 12 is difficult to find information on through research. The type of wood used is also unknown.
Interestingly, although not on the headstock, the included case has MODEL BY KAMAKA printed on it, which is said to mean inspired by Kamaka.
This is a vintage ukulele, and considering its age, it is in good condition with few scratches.
Visually, there is one scratch on the headstock near the 4th string, a faint playing scratch (pick mark) below and to the right of the soundhole, and a small chip at the base of the 4th string on the bridge.
There is also a white spot (not a scratch) on the 3rd string above the soundhole.
As this is an old item, please purchase with the understanding that maintenance may be required.
The only accessory is the original case from that era (some staples have come loose).
This is a very rare instrument, perfect for a collection.
Price negotiations are possible, but please make reasonable offers in the comments.
It will be shipped in a slightly larger box, with the original case inside, via RakuRaku Mercari delivery.
