Description
Cameron Clay Products. The company was founded in Cameron, West Virginia, in 1936.Timeline: This specific piece was manufactured during the 1960s. It belongs to their Mid-Century Modern Scandia product line. The Bottom Mark: The faint U.S.A. block text impressed into the glaze is highly characteristic of Cameron Clay pottery. Many American production potteries during the post-war era used generic U.S.A. stamps rather than a specific brand logo to appeal to domestic buyers and save on mold customization costs. Unfortunately, Cameron Clay Products permanently closed after a devastating factory fire in 1964, which makes surviving pieces from this line highly collectible for MCM enthusiasts. Please see pictures for description, condition, and measurements
