This is an armchair believed to be from the late 19th to early 20th century, in the French style (Louis XV Revival).

■ Story

This chair once had a time when it viewed the world from a slightly lower vantage point.

It was a custom-made low chair for a wet nurse to breastfeed her baby,
This is what we heard from our supplier.

Whether it's true or not, we don't know.
It might have simply been used that way in an English home after coming from France.

However,
this low seat height of 33 cm might not have been for efficiency or style, but rather a height to be closer to people.

Over a long period,
the legs have quietly decayed,
and the termite damage is quite old.

Therefore, this time,
we are offering it as-is to those who wish to restore it themselves,
or to those who want to purchase it cheaply and work on it.

If,
no one chooses the next chapter for this chair,
we at IKOI will take it back,
thoroughly repair it,
restore it to perfect condition,
and then plan to resell it.

Currently,
it stands at a crossroads.
