What is Chippendale Style?
It is a furniture style created by furniture maker Thomas Chippendale, who was active in the mid-18th century. Chippendale Style is derived from Queen Anne Style and is considered a representative style of the mid-Georgian period, as it transformed court-style furniture for the wealthy into a functional and refined style adapted to the living environment of citizens.
