Features and Design
• Origin of the Name: It is called Si Chu Tou (Four Protruding Ends) because the two ends of the top rail of the backrest and the two ends of the armrests protrude, totaling four points.
It is also called Guan Mao Yi (Official's Hat Chair) because its shape resembles the hats worn by officials in ancient times.

• Style: This design was perfected during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) and is characterized by its minimalist curves and functionality.
The gentle S-shape of the backrest panel is designed to fit the natural curve of the spine when seated.
• Construction: It is assembled using the traditional technique of **mortise and tenon joinery**, without the use of nails.
