French Flea Market Boat Wood Treasure Chest Vintage Chest

This is a vintage treasure chest (boat wood chest) that I fell in love with at a flea market in France several years ago and brought back to Japan.
This item is made from recycled materials from wooden ships. It was a masterpiece that stood out with its substantial texture and colors at French antique markets.

■Vintage Texture
The natural peeling of the paint, created by being exposed to strong sunlight and seawater for many years. The layers of color, stacked over time, are a work of art that can only be created by the passage of time, something that modern processing techniques can never replicate.

■Solid Wood
Made from extremely robust and dense hardwood (such as teak) that was used as lumber for ships. The moist weight when touched and the warmth unique to old wood will add deep depth to your life.

Due to the nature of vintage and reclaimed wood products, there are original chips, nail marks, cracks, paint peeling, etc.
Also, the lid is a bit stiff to open and requires some force.

Can be picked up near Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Shipping fee will be discounted in that case.
