Vintage Bollman Doeskin 100% Wool Brown Wide Brim Fedora Hat USA Project

Vintage Bollman Hat Co. brown wide-brim hat made in the USA from 100% wool doeskin felt. Features a black grosgrain ribbon hatband and classic vintage styling.  Fair pre-owned vintage condition and sold as-is. The crown is currently misshapen and will need to be steamed and reshaped/creased to restore its structure. The brim may also benefit from steaming and reshaping.  The original decorative side bow on the grosgrain ribbon hatband is missing. This can be replaced by purchasing matching black grosgrain ribbon, folding a small traditional hat bow, and securing it to the existing hatband with a few small hand stitches. A hat shop or milliner could also easily make and attach a replacement bow.  This is a nice restoration/project piece for someone who enjoys vintage hats. The 100% wool felt can be carefully steamed to make it pliable, allowing the crown and brim to be reshaped and then left to dry in the desired form.  No size tag found.
