This product is a shibori-dyed heko obi used with men's kimonos and yukatas.
The material is often made of raw silk, and is characterized by its extremely soft and pleasant feel against the skin. The technique used is all-over shibori, such as kanoko shibori, and the elasticity of the shibori allows it to naturally conform to the body and resist loosening, making it practical as well.
This obi was prepared by my husband's mother for our wedding. Many years have passed since then, and I have never had the opportunity to wear a kimono or yukata, and here we are.
The obi is fastened with thread in 3 places, so the length cannot be measured.
For reference, my husband is 178 cm tall.
As far as can be seen, there are no stains, dirt, or mold. It is new and unused, but we ask for your understanding that it has been stored for some time. Thank you.
