Vintage Japanese Ceramic Pitcher Pair #53 Made in Japan Hand Painted

Charming pair of vintage Japanese ceramic miniature pitchers, both marked #53 and Made in Japan. These matching pieces feature the same distinctive mold with deep cobalt-blue rims, handles and bases, textured/stippled ceramic bodies, and detailed hand-painted Japanese scenic decoration depicting figures, buildings and nature in earthy brown, green, blue and cream tones.  Each measures approximately 4 1/4 tall. The coloration varies slightly between the two pieces, consistent with natural variation in the hand-applied decoration and giving each piece its own character.  A very similar vase acquired with these pieces appears to be from the same maker/design series and is marked #52, suggesting these #53 pieces are part of a numbered design series.  Condition: Vintage with minor age-related wear and imperfections. One piece has a slight chip on the unglazed portion of the ceramic, visible in the photos. The painted decoration otherwise appears intact. Please examine all photos carefully
