Description
Add a piece of authentic early transportation history to your collection! This is a genuine antique black enameled kerosene/oil tail light lantern dating from the 1910s to early 1920s. Features a striking, thick ruby red glass bullseye (fresnel) lens housed in a hinged front bezel. This style of lamp was famously utilized on early Brass Era and Nickel Era automobiles (like the Ford Model T), agricultural equipment, vintage trucks, and horse-drawn carriages. Complete with its original tiered windproof chimney, bottom oil fount reservoir, side adjustment knob, and heavy-duty rear bracket mounting bolt. Perfect addition for an early automotive restoration project, Rat Rod accent, or unique industrial machine-age shelf decor! Era: Circa 1910s - 1920s Material: Enameled Steel / Iron body; Thick Ruby Red Glass Measurements: Approx. 8.5 long overall; Lens bezel is approx. 4 diameter Condition: Beautiful, untouched antique condition with rich character patina. Glass lens is excellent with no cracks. Metal body shows authentic paint chipping, surface scuffs, and light surface oxidation from age. Hinge and latch function perfectly. Interior burner dome intact. See photos for exact condition.
