Vintage 1970s Hand Made Chalkware Three Wise Monkeys Books Plaster Figurine Folk

Vintage 1970s handmade three wise monkey figurines featuring hear no evil, see no evil, speaking of evil  This special piece was completely handmade by my grandmother in her ceramic and craft shop during the 1970s from mixing and pouring the plaster of Paris into the mold to hand painting the finished figurine  The three great monkeys are seated on a stack of two books with one book painted bright green and the other blue. It's hand-painted finish in history make it a wonderful piece of vintage folk art, kitsch decor, or a unique addition to a monkey or chalkware collection  Approximate measurements are 6x6x4 in  Condition: vintage pre-owned condition with some age-related paintware and small areas of paint chip primarily along the bottom and the rear corners. The front display area and the monkeys remain attractive.
