This is a small drawer from an old tool shed, dating from the early to mid-Showa period.
It has a handcrafted feel, as if made by a skilled artisan.

Painted in a slightly bluish-gray tone, the weathered texture in places gives it a rugged and sophisticated appearance. The top surface is marked with a 9x9 grid, suitable for playing Shogi. The underside is covered with a suede-like leather for anti-slip purposes. The random pattern of nails used to secure the leather adds a rhythmic visual element. It can be used upside down if preferred. The top surface can also serve as a display shelf for vases or other decorative items.

The drawers open and close smoothly, and the handle hardware, despite some paint peeling, is in good condition. Although small, it has a solid and stable feel, making it a versatile item. Its size is perfect for organizing small items on your desk or in the kitchen, and its masculine appearance also makes it suitable for display or as an exhibition stand.

Overall, it shows signs of age and use, with minor paint peeling on the corners, scuffs, and small marker marks on the sides. However, there are no critical stains or damage. As this is an antique item, please refrain from purchasing if you are not accustomed to old objects. We cannot accommodate requests after purchase.
