Antique Victorian miniature brass coal scuttle–style container, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This is a decorative novelty piece made as a miniature version of a full-size coal hod and commonly used as a tabletop match holder, trinket box, or parlor accessory.  Features a hinged lid, curved feet, and decorative stamped motifs typical of Victorian-era brassware. Retains original aged patina with surface wear, spotting, and oxidation consistent with age and use. Hinge is intact and functional. No major dents or structural damage observed.  Approximate measurements:  Length: 5 inches  Width: 3 inches  Height: approximately 4 inches including feet  Material appears to be brass or brass-plated metal.
