Wooden Writing Desk, Dark Brown, 5 Drawers, Showa Era, Dad's, Retro, Color Repaired, 1 Metal Fitting Missing
Antique-style dark brown wooden writing desk with a simple rectangular design and 5 drawers.
◆ My father was a furniture maker, so I think this would be a great antique piece for a traditional Japanese house (kominka).
◆ I remember my mother writing ledgers and New Year's cards on this desk in the Showa 30s-40s (1955-1974).
◆ There is a spot on the top where my mother spilled silver powder, which I have color-repaired.
The repair is water-based, so it can be wiped off with a damp cloth.
I believe it won't be very noticeable once placed in your room.
◆ One metal pull is missing from the leftmost drawer.
◆ The back of the top right drawer was slightly damaged, so I repaired it with adhesive so it can be used.
◆ Paper stickers are still attached in 3 places.
◆ A4 files can fit in the bottom drawers.
◆ The drawer bottoms are dirty, but I will clean them with sandpaper before shipping, as much as possible without compromising the texture.
◆ Product Price: ¥1,000, Packing Fee: ¥1,000, Shipping Fee: ¥2,100, Handling Fee: ¥410
Total: ¥4,510
◆ If you can pick it up locally, the price is ¥1,200.
◆ Dimensions: Width 900mm x Depth 600mm x Height 330mm
