VTG Gullah Sweetgrass Basket Charleston SC Folk Art Double Loop Handle AS IS

The VTG Gullah Sweetgrass Basket from Charleston, SC is a beautiful piece of folk art featuring a double loop handle. Made with sweetgrass, this basket showcases intricate craftsmanship and traditional design. With a width of 11 inches, this unique and visually appealing item would make a stunning addition to any collection of decorative collectibles or a great gift for someone who appreciates artisanal pieces. A small section of the palmetto leaf binder is loose on the left handle and you want to prevent further unravelling at home:Tuck and Tighten: If the loose strip is long enough, use a small tool like a dull tapestry needle or a small bone tool to carefully wrap it back around the bundle, tucking the end firmly beneath the nearest tight stitch.Discreet Adhesive: For a permanent hold on small loose ends, apply a tiny drop of clear-drying fabric glue or super glue directly to the knot or end of the strand, pressing it flat against the handle until it sets. Use a clamp or a clothespin to hold it firmly in place while drying.
