The beautiful red grain and the rugged, bark-edged texture were very appealing.
It has not been used for daily purposes, so it is in relatively clean condition. It has been kept in our home for about 25 years. The tabletop features Karin's characteristic burl wood grain across its entire surface,
creating a very rich and deep visual landscape.
Unique to a one-piece slab.
Regarding the condition,
there are changes in texture due to age, as well as minor scuffs and small scratches. There is a crack about 10 cm long on one edge of the tabletop (shown in the last photo).
However, none of these affect the structural integrity or usability, and we feel they do not significantly detract from the overall impression.
We recommend this piece to those who can appreciate the individuality and character that comes with wood that has aged over many years.

This piece is perfect not only as a zataku for a Japanese-style room but also for a tokonoma (alcove) or engawa (veranda),
and as a statement piece of furniture that will become the focal point of any space.
Enjoy the unique expression and dignity of this one-of-a-kind item, which cannot be replicated by mass-produced goods.

- Please check the photos carefully for the product's condition.
- There are no major chips or critical damages, but
scuffs and small scratches due to age are considered the charm of an antique.
- If you are looking for a perfect, like-new condition,
please consider this item after understanding the above points.
