Description
This is a very rare low table with a Tsuzura finish.
Tsuzura, which is finished by applying lacquer over a bamboo woven mesh, has a deep reddish-purple Tameiro color, creating a wonderfully deep and flavorful finish.
As it is a very old item, there are minor scratches due to age, but it is in very beautiful condition for its age.
While Tsuzura is often seen used as baskets or containers, it is extremely rare to find it incorporated into furniture design.
It's a blend of Japanese and Western styles, perfect for use in a Japanese-style room or as a stylish antique piece in a Western-style room.
The size is a 600mm square with a height of 330mm.
