Rare 1930s Kodak Vollenda 616 German Made Camera

The Kodak Vollenda Junior 616 is a rare vintage self-erecting folding camera made in Germany by Kodak's Nagel AG subsidiary between 1934 and 1937. It uses 616 roll film to produce large 2½ x 4¼ inch negatives (6,5 x 11 cm), yielding six exposures per roll. SpecsLens: Typically fitted with a Kodak-Anastigmat f/4.5 or f/7.7 12cm (120mm) lens.Shutter: Gauthier AGC shutter with speeds from 1/25 to 1/100 sec, plus Bulb (B) and Time (T).Focusing: Manual front-cell focus scaling down to 100 cm (3 feet).Viewfinders: Dual finders including a small swivelling brilliant finder on the lens housing and a body-mounted frame finder. Standard 616 roll film was discontinued by Kodak in 1984. It is no longer produced commercially, meaning you cannot buy fresh rolls off the shelf. Today, the Vollenda Junior 616 functions primarily as a display piece, shelf antique, or collectible artifact of 1930s German precision camera design rather than a practical shooter, though specialized film hobbyists occasionally resod or adapt modern film stock to fit historic Because 616 roll film was discontinued decades ago, modern retro-photographers have to buy 3D-printed 616-to-120 film adapters to shoot with active medium-format film formats The shutter works, I cannot move the magnifier out of the way to test at 25.
