Vintage 1930s 1940s Italian Lenci Style Pressed Cloth Felt Costume Doll 10"

This is a collectible vintage 10-inch Italian/European Lenci-style pressed cloth and felt regional folk costume doll from the 1930s1950s. This artisan doll features a molded hand-painted felt face with delicate side-glancing eyes, black braided hair, brass-tone hoop earrings, a stiffened mesh crinoline underskirt, cream woven pantaloons, and a traditional regional costume including a red felt corset vest, puff-sleeve blouse, light blue skirt with ric-rac trim, felt-appliqué apron, ribbon headdress, and original removable red felt boots with stiffened outsoles and heel ties. A close inspection reveals the following age-appropriate flaws: an open seam split/fray along the upper right shoulder sleeve gathering, light fraying along the edges of the gold-and-red ribbon headpiece, faint age spotting/discoloration on the light blue silk skirt folds and bottom left corner of the apron, and loose trim threads around the heels of the felt shoes as detailed in close-up photos; overall the felt body, limbs, face paint, and structure remain remarkably intact.
