Koiwai Farm Watercolor Painting by Western-style Artist "Yoshio Nakahara" - Iwate Mountain and Natural Scenery

A landscape of cherry blossom trees leading to Koiwai Farm, with Mt. Iwate in the background.

The title is Spring at Koiwai.
This is a watercolor painting with a pastoral, beautiful, and gentle image.
Please take a look at the enlarged view.

* Painted on May 5, Heisei 8 (1996).

Frame size:
Height: approx. 42.5 cm
Width: approx. 54 cm
Depth: approx. 2 cm

The artist is Yoshio Nakahara.
After moving to Shizukuishi Town due to circumstances, he opened a cafe gallery called Tazuneya.

In his youth, he enjoyed climbing mountains and traveled through the Alps.
I visited his home and listened to his various life experiences, which he told me gently, like a story.

This is a piece I purchased at his request during that time.

A long time ago, someone who worked at Koiwai Farm saw this painting and said with a nostalgic, slightly sad expression, Those birch trees are gone now.

I have cherished this painting for a long time, but it has become difficult to manage, so I am now exhibiting it.

While the single cherry tree became famous during the broadcast of the NHK morning drama Dondo Hare, this is also a very charming and rare piece with a unique atmosphere, and I hope it catches the eye of someone who will appreciate it.

Additionally, I am also exhibiting another painting by the same artist titled At the Foot of Mt. Iwate. If you purchase both at the same time, I will offer a discount.

* For spring and summer, this refreshing Spring at Koiwai.
* For autumn and winter, the dignified At the Foot of Mt. Iwate!

Please take a look at both pieces together. Thank you very much.
