Veedra Boscarino Swan Pierced Earrings Luna Parc Mixed Metal Signed VB

Signed Veedra-Boscarino sculptural swan pierced earrings, circa 1980s–early 1990s, associated with artist and metalsmith Richard “Ricky” Boscarino. The dramatic mirrored design features two opposing swans, each constructed in contrasting metals with a sculptural sterling silver wing/body and warm copper neck, creating the distinctive sweeping S-shaped silhouette.  Both earrings are signed on the reverse with the distinctive dotted VB monogram and marked SS for sterling silver.  Richard “Ricky” Boscarino studied jewelry and metalsmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating in 1982. He later became known for Luna Parc, his extraordinary New Jersey home, studio and art environment, begun in 1989. Period documentation from the 1990 Ann Arbor Art Fair lists Nancilee & Richard Veedra-Boscarino together in the Metal category, documenting the Veedra-Boscarino name during this early period of their work. Boscarino’s jewelry is known for imaginative sculptural and figural forms and the combination of sterling silver with contrasting metals.  These are pierced/post earrings.
