66.00 $
Description
Two loose prints from a large triptych of Nishiki-e prints. 24 x 36 cm. By Ikkaisai Yoshitoshi.
The prints depict the capture of Akushichibyōe Kagekiyo, who had come to defeat Yoritomo, by Honda Jiro Chikatsune.
The edges are quite tattered, there is a large tear on Honda's right hand, and the colors have faded.
Although the condition is poor, the pose of Kagekiyo striking a dramatic pose is beautiful.
- Condition: Signs of age and wear
