The pattern appears to be created with an incredibly fine weave.
Furthermore, the lining of the haori features a gold-leaf decorated pattern (picture), giving it a masculine and luxurious feel, making it a wonderful masterpiece.

〈Reference Material〉
Tanba Kinukoma refers to the silk threads used in Tanba-fu, a traditional textile produced in the Tanba region of Hyogo Prefecture.
Tanba-fu is characterized by its warp threads of hand-spun cotton and weft threads of silk spun from cocoon waste. In particular, the silk threads used for the weft are called Kinukoma and are a crucial element that defines the unique texture of Tanba-fu. The threads, dyed with natural plant-based dyes, are woven into attractive stripes and checks.
Additionally, Tanba-fu is known for its rustic warmth unique to hand-weaving, and it becomes softer and more durable with use.
History:
Tanba-fu is believed to have begun being woven in the late Edo period, influenced by Banshu cotton. Until the mid-Meiji period, it was known as Shimauki or Sajimomen.
Present Day:
Currently, it is designated as a Nationally Selected Important Intangible Cultural Property and a Hyogo Prefecture Traditional Craft.
A characteristic of its production process is that a single person handles the entire series of steps, including spinning, dyeing, and weaving.
We hope this piece finds its way to someone who loves kimonos or is knowledgeable about them!
