Clermont Shop Ivy. Oil painting by Mitsuki Yasuda. Size F10, new/used, free frame with glass.
66.00 $
Description
Completed in March of this year.
I sketched this in watercolor during a training period in France years ago, and based on that, I loved the ivy so much that I turned it into an oil painting.
When photographed, the raised texture of the white underpainting appears prominent, but in reality, I've applied thin layers of yellow over the white, so it's not that starkly white. The underpainting was done with a thick application of silver white using a palette knife, and then thin layers of color were applied over it, giving it depth. The frame has been stored for quite some time and is in good condition with no stains on the backing at all, but I've included it for free. The color is somewhere between gold and silver, with a reddish-brown between the silver and gold, like copper. Comes with glass.
