Up for sale is a beautiful, 1940's highly collectible mid-century tribal basket purse meticulously handcrafted by the indigenous Tiruray people of Palawan Island, Philippines. This structural box bag features an intricate, traditional geometric double-weave pattern (monom) utilizing smoked black river cane and natural split-bamboo strips.Features a dual looping overhead handle, a secure lidded top, and decorative woven binding details along the base and frame. A perfect, authentic accessory for bohemian, cottagecore, or mid-century retro styles!  It also functions beautifully as a decorative vanity or storage piece.
