Description
The Shiretoko Eight Views are eight well-known scenic spots on the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido. They include Oshinkoshin Falls, Ororonko Rock, Yuhidai, Puiyuni Cape, and Furepe Falls.
This is my work from May 2019.
From the Shiretoko Nature Center, you can see the waterfall after a 20-minute walk.
This waterfall has no river; snow and rain that fall on the Shiretoko mountain range seep underground and flow out from the cracks in the 100-meter-high vertical cliff face. It is affectionately known locally as Maiden's Tears.
On the way back to the center, I encountered a family of Ezo deer.
