Vintage Kid-Size Bermuda Bag Set

Bermuda Bags were a quintessential preppy fashion staple from the 1960s through the 1980s. Jeanne Bouchever's peak manufacturing window for these Bags occurred during the late 1970s and reached massive preppy fashion popularity by the early 1980s. Shown here in a little girl’s size with a beautiful Kelly green corduroy cover with blue piping plus two extra interchangeable/ reversible covers in navy with a cute red & white floral trim embellishment with red bric-a-brac trim and red piping, and an embroidered white eyelet cover. The reverse side of the blue cover features a blue & white mini polka-dot print fabric with red piping. The reverse side of the white eyelet cover features a reddish pink & white seersucker mini print fabric with white piping. The green corduroy cover is not a reversible cover. Bermuda Bags are known for having interchangeable covers … and sometimes reversible covers … that button or snap on and off. This Bermuda bag features a cutout handle crafted from polished wood. The fabric covers attach directly to the wooden frame using a row of three pearlized buttons on each side of the handles. This allows owners to coordinate their purse with different outfits by swapping out the exterior patterns. Lightweight and easy to carry for little hands. Both sides of each cover, as well as the measurements, are shown in the photos. All are in great vintage condition. You can change out the outer part of the Bermuda bag for 5 different looks in all!
