This is a semi-antique Uchikake (a type of kimono worn by brides) with a design of flying cranes against a backdrop of magnificent branches and plum blossoms, woven onto a yellowish off-white base.
The pattern is embellished with embroidery and gold leaf, making it a very elaborate piece.
