Description
Antique early 20th-century fine white cotton garment featuring an assortment of beautiful lace insertions, ruffled lace edging and ribbon-threaded trim. Original purpose is uncertain; proportions and very small arm openings make identification as a baby garment questionable. Garment shows age, wear, discoloration/spotting and deterioration to some of the delicate lace. Blue ribbon may be a later replacement. Sold specifically as a cutter/textile for salvaging the antique lace and for heirloom sewing, restoration or study—not sold as wearable.
