Description
Vintage black fashion knit with narrow white pinstripes. Fabric has a smooth, slightly slinky hand with good drape and stretch running in the same direction as the stripes; little to no stretch in the opposite direction. Fiber content is unknown, but the look and feel suggest a synthetic knit, likely polyester or a polyester blend. Measures approximately 1½ yards long x 78” wide, measured with the stripes running lengthwise. I could not clearly identify a traditional selvage, but the unusually generous 78” width appears consistent across the fabric. A versatile vintage apparel fabric with a classic pinstripe design, suitable for dresses, skirts, pants, jackets, costumes and other sewing projects.
