Golden Week Limited Discount! Takiwatei - Original Painting on Fan - Genuine Edo Period Work
This is a piece from our archives.
This is a fan painting by Taki Katei, a Japanese painter active in the late Edo and Meiji periods, who is still highly regarded today.
Taki Katei was a leading figure in Japanese painting, winning numerous awards at international expositions such as the Vienna World's Fair, the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition, the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, and the World Exhibition in England. His works are also displayed in the Imperial Palace.
Although there is age-related deterioration and a center crease, the realism of this hand-painted piece is truly impressive.
We recommend this piece not only to collectors and art enthusiasts but also to anyone who wants to bring authentic art into their room.
